It has been several years since I returned home. I left Tennessee about 10 years ago when I joined the Army and never got to visit that much. After getting out of the Army I still found reasons to be to busy and not make it back but sometimes things happen and you have to go home. A close family member passed away and I made the 17 hour trip home. While at my mothers house I discovered that she had kept almost all my stuff as a kid. Among some of the stuff that remained was several hundred old comics, a telstar system, an Atari, a nintendo, super Nintendo, and several games for each system. Well when I got back to Texas I took a few extra days off of work and transformed on of the grooms in my house into a collectors room, more or less. I put my Transformer collection, My comics, and all my systems in the room so I could go in there as I please and just relive the past. I even got an older TV just to hook the games up to. Well after all that I realized I was missing a game on my N64. I really enjoyed the game years ago and knew where I could get it. Tetrissphere ended up costing me $16. I also priced many other games and was just amazed at how much they cost. Yea I could have easily waited for it come out on the Wii VC but there's just something about playing a game on the original system. I will probably go back tomorrow and buy some more but only a few. Really I could probably download the games for free but I don't mind paying a little more for something that could mean so much.
The moral of this story is that sometimes you should go home even when you don't want to because you may end up with something great that you had forgotten.
